This week in CTA classes, we’ll wrap up our focus on closed guard before shifting to side control escapes. A key concept here is framing—using proper structure to prevent our opponent from settling their weight and advancing their attack. Without good frames, we risk being crushed and controlled. Expect to refine your hip movement, arm positioning, and timing to create space and recover guard effectively.
In CTB classes, we continue working on passing single leg X while also sharpening our attacks from butterfly guard and X-guard. Understanding balance and pressure will be key to shutting down the single leg X, while grip fighting and seamless transitions will help us become more dangerous from the bottom.
We’re also excited to launch our CTC (advanced) classes on Wednesday mornings! The morning crew has been putting in the work, and we feel you’re ready to dive into more advanced techniques to take your game to the next level. See you on the mats! 🥋🔥
