
When you’re passing guard, it’s not just about speed. A lot of good guard players are waiting for you to rush or lose balance so they can recover or attack. Passing gets easier when you stay controlled, keep your base, and take away their movement step by step.
On the other side, guard retention isn’t about stopping the pass once. It’s about recovering over and over without panicking. Both sides come down to small decisions, not one big move.
